About the Role
A renowned Building & Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a new housing development project in West Meath, Ireland.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a greenfield project, managing day-to-day site operations while collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Oversee the daily management of a housing development, ensuring timely completion within safety and quality standards.
* Team Coordination: Directly manage and motivate site staff, including subcontractors, ensuring high performance across all phases of the project.
* Planning & Logistics: Organize daily site resources, handle material orders, and keep a comprehensive site diary to track subcontractor performance.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the project site and external parties, including consultants, architects, and the wider project team.
* Quality Control: Monitor and review site work, focusing on adherence to project specifications and BCAR requirements.
* Health & Safety: Implement the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System on-site, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate site records and proactively address any challenges, updating the Contracts Manager regularly.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years of site management experience in construction, particularly in housing or similar developments.
* Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing on-site teams.
* Knowledgeable in construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BCAR compliance.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management or engineering are advantageous.
