Administrative Assistant
Our Client, an Educational Institution, is looking to hire an administrative assistant on a temporary 2-month contract for 28 hours per week (4 full days).
The job holder will provide the Discipline and School with a comprehensive and professional administrative and support service. S/he will prepare and organise information and reports for internal and external meetings and ensure that internal and external deadlines are maintained. S/he will manage assigned tasks and prioritise competing tasks in order to ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard with excellent attention to detail. The role requires strong communication skills and a capacity to work effectively and collegially with relevant Disciplines, Schools, and Colleges.
Skills required:
1. Satisfactory relevant employment experience which demonstrates a high level of administrative support in a demanding office environment.
2. Excellent IT skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
3. Strong ability to manage, organise, interpret and report information.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
6. Experience dealing with external organisations such as professional and accreditation bodies.
7. Knowledge of University systems for example, Agresso, Quercus and AKARI would be advantageous but not essential.
3 Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to professional services staff (PSS) and academic staff, including programme directors and programme boards.
2. Maintain a high-quality customer service when dealing with current and future students, the public, and stakeholders.
3. Process applications via CRM Recruitment and provide regular application updates, where relevant.
