We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental and Facilities Operator to join our team in Carrigaline.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment while ensuring the highest environmental standards are met on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for environmental monitoring and reporting, including wastewater testing, conducting environmental impact assessments, and managing environmental compliance.
The role also involves overseeing contractor management, ensuring proper waste and air emissions licenses, and assisting with environmental audits.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Overtime may be required from time to time.

What will I be doing?
1. Working closely with the HSE Manager to maintain ISO14001 standards on site and support a safe and compliant working environment.
2. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly wastewater testing and maintain accurate records of results.
3. Perform environmental impact assessments as required.
4. Manage contractor operations and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
5. Handle waste permits, licenses, and management in line with regulatory requirements.
6. Monitor and manage air emissions licenses and effluent discharge licenses.
7. Conduct environmental audits on-site to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
8. Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO14001 standards in collaboration with the HSE Manager.
What do I need to be successful?
1. Ideally a third-level degree qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
2. Knowledge of Irish and European Environmental Legislation is an advantage but not essential.
3. Prior experience in a similar role in environmental monitoring or compliance management would be advantageous.
4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately monitor and report on environmental data.
5. Good communication and organisational skills.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Forklift experience would be an advantage.
8. Previous experience in a role involving environmental monitoring, wastewater testing, or environmental auditing is preferred.
9. Experience working with environmental permits, licenses, and related regulatory documentation would be beneficial.
