We are seeking to hire an Investment Analyst – the ideal candidate will have; (i) 1-2 years’ experience in a corporate lending (private credit or corporate banking), corporate finance or private equity environment or; (ii) relevant internship experience completed during their undergraduate / graduate studies.
The role offers hands-on experience in credit analysis, deal execution and portfolio management within a small investment team, with regular exposure to senior investment professionals and Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with due diligence, the preparation of investment committee materials and execution of investment opportunities.
* Analysing financial statements and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the wider team.
* Preparation and maintenance of financial models.
* Research and general industry analysis including investment drivers and risks.
* Attending meetings with management of potential investee and portfolio companies.
* Ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies.
* Additional DunPort corporate tasks, including marketing, administration and miscellaneous tasks.
Experience and Skills
* Excellent overall academic profile with a desire to pursue professional qualifications such as the CFA / ACA (support for exams offered by DCM).
* Strong analytical capability, both quantitative and qualitative. Ability to analyse key risk / drivers and form a view on investment attractiveness.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong capacity and desire to use initiative.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a small team.
* Ability to demonstrate commercial thinking, alongside a positive and flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to all aspects of work.
* Good proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
