Tá feidhm Shláine an Chórais freagrach as pleanáil oibriúcháin ó 10 mbliana amach go dtí gar d’fhíor-am, cosaint agus méadrú an chórais cumhachta, éifeachtacht agus éifeachtúlacht a spreagadh, athrú claochlaitheach a leabú agus a chinntiú go seachadtar sainchúram lárnach Ghrúpa EirGrid.

The Opportunity:
We now seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to join our System Integrity team.
As Senior Lead Engineer – Revenue Metering, you will support the System Integrity function by leading all aspects of Revenue Metering for transmission connected generators and renewable energy installations.
You will manage the operation of the Central Meter Data Collection, Validation and Substitute systems as well as manage the Metering Code to ensure compliance with its provisions.
We will look to you to assist the System Integrity function in achieving its overall objective, through analysis of technical problems, propose solutions, processes and methodologies, as well as prepare presentations and reports for key stakeholder engagement.
The Team:
The Operations and Asset Management Office within EirGrid comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce.
Ireland has a target to achieve 80% of our electricity to come from renewable resources by 2030 and to be net carbon neutral by 2050. The Operations and Asset Management Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the all-island power system and the wholesale electricity market.
The System Integrity function is responsible for operational planning from 10 years out to close to real time, power system protection and metering, driving effectiveness and efficiency, embedding transformational change and ensuring EirGrid Group’s core remit is delivered.

About you:
Successful candidates will have the following:
* Engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience.
* Ability to lead, project manage and take responsibility for metering projects.
* Knowledge of wholesale power markets, market arrangements in the SEM, Great Britain, France and in other European countries, Metering Code, Meter Installations, Meter Communications and Central Interrogation/validation Systems.
* Ability to guide, persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and strong track record of delivery.
* Ability to develop & provide innovative solution options to complex issues in timely manner.
* Self-motivation, enthusiasm and capable of delivering in the context of changing requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to define and guide own work under minimal supervision.
* Good oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
