Job Description
Little People Playgroup is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, energetic, caring person to work with our team to provide high quality care and learning experiences for 3 -6 year olds in our long established sessional service.
The vacancy to be filled in the morning session. The hours will be from 8.50 am -12noon, but some flexibility will be required. Planning and reflection time will be in addition to the child contact time.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work alongside the team to plan and implement a high quality play curriculum, based Aistear and Síolta.
Carry out meaningful observations to understand the child's strengths, stage of development and learning style.
Understand the child's cultural background, prior learning and passions
Plan and implement activities with the team based on the observations and the childrens funds of knowledge.
Provide the highest standard of care and education for all children in our care, by adhering to our mission statement, policy and procedures and child protection policy.
The successful candidate must have
Minimum Fetac 6 ECCE or equivalent.
Experience at planning and implementing a play based curriculum and carrying out observations.
Excellent communication skills and command of spoken and written English
The ability to work as part of a team, to accept supervision and be a reflective practitioner
Hours
9.50am-12 noon with some flexibility

14-15.50/ hour
