Job Summary
The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning the procurement of materials to support customer demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain forecasting module parameters and review forecast accuracy. Manage product data including SKU planning and 9Block analysis for MRP messaging.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive purchasing system, manage supply chain issues, and drive quality and cost savings through vendor management.
* Plan and manage material procurement to support forecast and customer demand while optimizing inventory levels. Review excess, obsolete, and zero usage inventory quarterly and drive cycle count process to achieve best-in-class accuracy.
* Analyze and report on daily and monthly KPIs, including OTD, past due backlog, and inventory turns. Present EOZ analysis and key indicators to the corporate finance team quarterly.
* Review and schedule new order acknowledgements, provide timely information on order changes, delays, and updates to customers.
* Manage team performance, set goals, and organize tasks/projects based on company priorities.
Requirements
* Supply Chain qualification or relevant experience.
* Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
* At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or similar roles in operations.
* Proficiency with forecasting tools, ERP Oracle, and Power BI.
