Job Opportunity: AutoCAD Technician
About the Role:
* Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to create collaborative models and associated drawings, fostering a seamless workflow.
* Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, and Senior Electrical Estimator to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
* Input model elements with meticulous detail, encompassing both graphical and data aspects.
* Maintain vigilant monitoring for any clashes, producing regular clash reports to facilitate prompt resolution.
* Coordinate and manage incoming/shared models, ensuring timely updates and revisions.
* Produce high-quality images and drawings as required by the Contracts Manager, adhering to precise specifications.
* Explore and implement BIM modeling and creation using Revit and AutoCAD, driving innovation and efficiency in our projects.
* Coordinate mechanical and electrical elements, as well as asset data, to ensure comprehensive understanding and accuracy.
* Develop as-built drawings and models, providing essential documentation for ongoing maintenance and operations.
* Create Asset Information Models, serving as a valuable resource for future reference and analysis.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* A strong background in electrical engineering, ideally holding a Qualified Electrician certification or an Electrical Engineering degree.
* At least 2 years of active project experience in producing construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit, with a proven track record of success.
* Previous experience working on commercial building projects, industrial plants, and data centre projects is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in MS Office packages, Revit, AutoCAD 2D, and Navisworks Manage, with a solid understanding of their applications and limitations.
* Prior site experience is beneficial, but not mandatory.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
* Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills, with a focus on clear communication and effective collaboration.
* Able to multitask and maintain composure in a demanding environment, with a positive attitude and 'can-do' mindset.
