Position Overview:
The IT Vendor Manager is in charge of ensuring vendor service excellence and optimising IT service delivery. This role supports the implementation of IT vendor governance and compliance, mitigating risk while enhancing service efficiency. Additionally, the IT Vendor Manager will contribute to the continuous improvement of vendor frameworks and policies, aligning them with industry best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive IT vendor excellence and contribute to the ongoing success of our customer's IT service delivery. The position operates in a hybrid model, requiring attendance at the Dublin office once per week.
Required skills & qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in IT Vendor Management or a related role
* Vendor management or contract management qualification
* Robust knowledge of IT technologies, systems, and processes
* Experience managing IT stakeholders and vendors in Software/Hardware
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
* Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Great verbal and written communication, including report writing and presentations
* Solid negotiation skills to secure favourable contract terms
* Ability to build positive relationships and facilitate discussions proficiently
* High level of attention to detail to ensure contract accuracy and minimise risk
Key responsibilities & duties include:
* Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to ensure all contract-related information is reliable and advantageous to our customer
* Manage contractual activities within IT for suppliers, partners, and service delivery across Software, Hardware, and Telecoms categories, with support from the Senior IT Vendor Manager
* Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, strengthen vendor relationships, and drive efficiencies to achieve better outcomes
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and delivery of agreed commitments
* Engage Procurement for new contracts, ensuring alignment with business needs
* Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation where significant vendor relationships exist
* Coordinate vendor reviews in line with collaboration levels and risk assessments
* Support the development of processes and a culture of continuous improvement in vendor management
* Assist in expanding vendor management across the organisation and integrating it into evolving IT strategies
Desirable skills:
* Experience with ServiceNow or a similar support management system
* Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI or equivalent
