Project Manager - Construction
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering to oversee client-side project management work on a large-scale Wi-Fi rollout project across various historical buildings.
The successful applicant will play a key role in managing and monitoring both the construction programme and cost plan, ensuring minimal impact from any project variations.
Key duties include:
* Keeping stakeholders informed of progress, costs, and other relevant issues
* Oversight of the tender and contractor/consultant appointment process
* Chairing and minute-taking for project review meetings
* Maintaining buildings, services, and equipment according to approved maintenance programmes
* Ensuring smooth information flow between contract parties
* Identifying potential bottlenecks and delays, and implementing remedies
* Agreeing valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants
* Monitoring build and material quality
* Ensuring contractual compliance among contractors and consultants
* Assisting with front-end design planning and procurement of other projects within the client's portfolio

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
* A Level 8 degree in Engineering or a related field
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, preferably with a contractor or consulting engineer
* Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies
* A proven track record of delivering projects to successful completion
* A valid driving license and vehicle
