Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our team for various projects across the Greater Dublin area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Use our Construction Software Package, Procore, to study and analyze blueprints and floor plans to understand all aspects of the mechanical design layout.
2. Highlight any issues at pre-start meetings held with the Senior Project Manager.
3. Oversee the installation of pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
4. Lead the site operative and apprentice teams, with the support of the Operations Manager.
5. Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties remain coordinated.
6. Educate site operatives on construction safety and accident protocols.
7. Inspect sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
8. Handle site accidents in accordance with accident protocol.
9. Keep detailed records of construction site activities.
10. Deal with staff and sub-contractors, ensuring quality workmanship is always met in line with MGME Quality Assurance Standards.
11. Raise a notice to the main contractor for all on-site issues and hold-ups encountered.
12. Familiarize yourself with the ordering of materials and delivery logistics with the procurement team.
13. Oversee all testing and commissioning at the request of the SPM, QA, and commissioning team.
14. Capture all RFI's, damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
15. Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff, and visitors.
16. Ensure that all company standards and policies are followed and maintained.
17. Perform any other duties requested or required by the Manager or Senior Management Team.
Person Specification:
We look for individuals who possess the following qualities:
1. The ideal candidate will be a Time-Served Plumber.
2. Have experience working in a similar Site Supervisory position.
3. Be a strong communicator, both written and orally.
4. Can work under pressure to deliver and meet project deadlines.
5. Possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
6. Hold a full clean driving license.
7. Be open and flexible to travel across various MGME project sites.
8. The candidate must hold valid safety documents.
