Group Financial Accountant – Dublin / Hybrid
Our client, a leading Construction Group located in Dublin, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their expanding team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the finance team, the Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the finance function. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced finance environment.

Your Role
1. Preparation and review of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
2. Assist in the preparation of annual filings and liaise with external auditors.
3. Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
4. Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the consolidation of group results.
5. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
6. Manage and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to supplier and customer accounts.
7. Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for Ireland and overseas.
8. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
9. Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures for all finance processes.
10. Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes.
11. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
12. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes and systems.
Your Skills
13. Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with at least 1 year post-qualification experience.
14. Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
15. High attention to detail and a strong focus on controls and processes.
16. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
17. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
