This is a client-facing, business and technical staff position responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients as part of Charles River SaaS Operations and SaaS strategy. Purpose and Function: Working as a member in the growing CRD Onboarding team to manage client applications, supporting and enhancing our clients' operational use of the Charles River IMS (CR IMS) systems. The role requires strong technical skills, communication, and understanding of client's problems as well as hands-on client issue management, production support, understanding of DR and executing it, client relations, and an ability to learn on the job.
Responsibilities:
* Understand new client onboarding and implement the CRD system for new projects.
* Oversight of issue resolution and support clients during the project/onboarding phase.
* Design new complex job schedules for clients' BOD/EOD batch for business operations.
* Escalate issues to Senior Management using sound judgment.
* New client assimilation and transition.
* Troubleshooting and issue resolution.
* Monitoring of Client Open Issues Lists to ensure accuracy, completeness, timely, and proper progress on and resolution of issues.
* Periodic communications with clients assigned to staff to monitor Client satisfaction and make improvements where appropriate during the onboarding process.
* Accountable for ensuring defined processes are followed.
* Setup connectivity to third-party vendors such as Bloomberg, Omgeo, Cassini, etc.
* Identification of issues in existing processes and improve documentation.
* Occasional off hours/weekend support for client go-live activity.
* Service Partner communications and coordination.
Required Competencies:
* Track record of working in a high-growth, mission-critical financial software-based operations and support environment.
* Hands-on capability to undertake basic investigative activities on RDBMS such as writing and running queries and data investigations, basic performance diagnosis, basic administration functions.
* Experience with automation using any scripting languages such as Python/PowerShell/Windows Batch, etc.
* Working knowledge of any industry-standard complex job automation technologies and proven skill to code complex job schedules.
* Experience in managing and installing mission-critical production software applications in a SaaS environment.
* Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service cloud providers such as Azure/AWS cloud is mandatory.
* Bachelor's degree.
* 3+ years' experience managing and supporting mission-critical production software applications.
Ideal Competencies/Experience:
* Experience with any of the following software is desired, in order of preference: 1) Charles River IMS, 2) Non-Charles River Trade Order Management software, 3) Middle or Back Office trading applications, or 4) Financial applications.
* Experience or familiarity with servers and basic networks is preferred.
* Experience with the following is beneficial: databases, server operating systems, servers, networks, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, FIX.
