Assistant Professor in Foundational Statistics for Artificial Intelligence
The UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics and School of Computer Science are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor at the interface of Statistics and Artificial Intelligence.
This new post aligns with the College of Science's guiding principle, and with the AI and Digital Technologies ethos of the pillars and initiatives in the UCD 2030 Breaking Boundaries strategy.
The successful candidate will develop a leading foundational research programme at the interface of Statistics and Artificial Intelligence, including publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals, supervising research students, and developing competitive applications for external funding.
They will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of new programmes across both Schools' wide-ranging data-centric programmes, and pursue excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
