Product & Sales Support Specialist

This is a position with grade 13.
This role reports to the Local Business Area Manager.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Supporting business functions, project management, and front-end sales in the portfolio and sales deliverables.
* Ensuring a full understanding of ABB's scope and market requirements in a specific area, matching those requirements to the ABB offering through specifications, sales pursuits, and relevant sales development activities.
* Performing various activities supporting sales functions, sales development, product training and launches, front-line field support, pricing, and product placement.
This role contributes to the Motion, Drives Division in Ireland. You will interact with local Sales function and internal teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure customer satisfaction.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Maximising Technical Solutions to explore and leverage technical solutions across the product group's portfolio.
* Managing Technical Specifications and supporting sales activities with product specifications, business cases, maintenance activities, and cost optimisation.
* Handling Warranty & Quality Cases communication where necessary, ensuring quick resolution of major warranty and quality issues with relevant product groups.
* Informing Stakeholders and keeping teams informed about offering availability, market trends, competition, quality, and limitations within project delivery.
* Providing Sales Support and participating in customer meetings, trade shows, assisting with customer issues, including site visits and trainings.
* Developing Training & Marketing Tools, ensuring training materials are available, complies and delivers training, and supports marketing and product development.
Qualifications for this role include:
* Strong knowledge of Electrical Schematics, PIDs, and small to large motor applications.
* Knowledge of Variable Speed Drive applications and solutions.
* Proven ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships.
* A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong English written and spoken communication skills.
* An electrical and automation qualification, with previous experience in a product manager role preferred.
* 5 years of experience in sales within the Electrical/Mechanical Process Automation Industry.
* A full IE driving license.
