Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our expanding manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and assess potential hazards in the workplace.
* Create and deliver safety training programs for all employees, including new hires and contractors, to ensure they are aware of potential hazards and know how to work safely.
* Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to determine the root cause and identify preventive measures.
* Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, safety training, and safety inspections, and generate reports as needed.
* Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and employees to identify safety issues and develop strategies to address them.
* Coordinate safety drills and emergency preparedness exercises to ensure employees know how to respond in case of an emergency.
* Oversee the implementation of safety improvements and ensure safety standards are being met.
* Stay up-to-date with changes to safety regulations and industry best practices and provide guidance to management on compliance.
* Ensure the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
* A minimum of a level 6 in Health and Safety is essential.
* 3+ years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
* Knowledge of food safety in a manufacturing setting is beneficial.
