Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated qualified or part-qualified accountant to join our dynamic Corporate Finance team in Balbriggan. The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate Finance Manager(s) and Corporate Finance Director to provide support on financial due diligence assignments, sell-side mandates and business valuations.
This role would suit a candidate with a strong interest in Corporate Finance who is looking to gain further exposure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience with supporting business owners through the various stages of a transaction. There is also flexibility in this role to work from our Dublin city centre on an ad-hoc basis.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing due diligence and other ad hoc reports to support clients through the transaction process within agreed deadlines.
Analysing financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) to assess financial performance.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information.
Meeting with clients during assignments to garner the information and explanations required to satisfactorily complete the tasks.
Preparation of business plans, financial projections, and other similar reports in support of assignments on behalf of clients.
Drafting internal and external communication materials.
Conducting research and preparing and presenting reports both internally and externally to either clients or other interested third parties.
Taking responsibility for client relationships with those clients assigned to your team.
Preparation of internal management reports to confirm the status of assignments on which you are currently working.
Attending staff meetings and training as required.
Ensuring to uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
All other various ad hoc assignments or tasks that may be given to you as part of your employment.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Preferred)
Qualified or Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (Required)
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
You will have experience working in a Corporate Finance department (preferred but not essential)
You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to clients and colleagues.
You will have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You will be tech-savvy and will have a pro-active approach to tasks, big and small
