We are looking for a Graduate CAD/BIM Designer to join our team out of our office in Dublin, Ireland.
The Graduate CAD/BIM Designer works on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager/relevant director. This individual works with the Engineering and Design Staff which is made up of Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Process Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, Architects, and other personnel to define and implement BIM/CAD applications for given projects.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in project delivery using 2D and 3D CAD software.
* Support the coordination of BIM/CAD projects with various disciplines to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
* Follow established quality control procedures for BIM/CAD production.
* Adhere to BIM/CAD production standards and assist in determining project requirements under the guidance of senior staff.
* Correct and update design documents and assist in developing solutions to design problems.
* Utilise computer-aided design technologies to create sketches, drawings, and construction documents.
* Ensure quality and coordination of work to reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
* Collaborate with related engineering disciplines on design work.
* Attend job and construction meetings to support project coordination.
* Research and interpret non-routine code issues with guidance from senior staff.
* Support field installation and start-up activities as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Relevant coursework or experience in drafting and/or design from an accredited technical institution or university.
* Proficiency in using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
* Basic knowledge of process, mechanical and electrical system design.
* Understanding of applicable codes and standards.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
