We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to support Service Users. The successful candidate will be trained and developed in line with the role.
Job Objectives
The ID Nurse role requires flexibility to support people with Asperger's Syndrome/Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Brain Injury and Mental Health issues.
This includes:

* Utilising nursing skills to support frontline care.
* SUPPORTING HEALTH ASSESSMENTS AND MEDICATION PLANS.
* DELIVERING HEALTH ACTION PLANS.
* PROMOTING GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
* LIAISING WITH THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM.
* IDENTIFYING SUPPORTS AND WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIVIDUALS.
* SUPPORTING HEALTH APPOINTMENTS AND FOLLOW-THROUGH ON RECOMMENDATIONS.
* MAINTAINING STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY.
* PROMOTING PERSON-CENTERED PLANNING.
* SUPPORTING COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.
* DELIVERING TRAINING.
* ASSISTING WITH REPORTS.
Skills Requirement
Qualification:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Recognised professional post-graduate qualification.
* Validation by the Department of Health or compensatory criteria set up by the department.
Knowledge:
* Standards and legislation relevant to the area.
* Up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations.
Experience:
* Report writing and personal support plans.
* Working in a similar role.
Skills:
* Flexible and adaptable nature.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Understanding of individual needs.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Experience of relating to people in a supportive role.
* Willingness to learn.
* Reliability and flexible approach to work.
* Full clean driver's license.
