Accounts Assistant required by leading FMCG company based in Waterford City. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the overall purpose of this is to maintain bank records, process supplier invoices and maintain customer account records. Responsibilities will include:- Recording bank payments and lodgments Daily reconciliation of company bank account Processing supplier invoices and follow up queries as necessary Arranging payment to suppliers on a timely basis Reconciling supplier records to company records. Maintaining customer accounts records Issuing monthly invoices / statements and arranging collection by direct debit Arranging payment to non-supplier businesses for sundry expenses and other amounts Provide accurate and timely information as required Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time The Ideal Candidate Min of Leaving Certificate completed, along with an additional accounting certificate completed Strong Accounts payable and reconciliation experience, min of 3 years relevant experience High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication skills both written and oral. Fluency in English essential Strong Microsoft experience in Word and Excel along with experience of an accounting package, eg, Sage Skills: Accounts Payable Bank Reconciliations Accounts Receivable
