GEA is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Naas, Co. Kildare. This role involves electrical design, site supervision, and contract management for projects in the processing or similar industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Design: Develop electrical designs adhering to regulations, standards, and specifications.
2. Project Execution: Plan, design, budget, purchase, install, and commission electrical systems and components for projects.
3. Site Supervision & Commissioning: Oversee site activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and manage the commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
4. Motor Control & Instrumentation: Work with motor control systems, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
5. ATEX Design & Installation: Support ATEX design and installation; experience in this area is an advantage.
6. Coordination: Collaborate effectively with third parties, contractors, and end users to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Schedule Management: Work independently to manage schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects.
Your profile and qualifications:
1. A third-level qualification in engineering (diploma or honors bachelor’s degree, NFQ level 7+). Craft or other technical qualifications will be considered for candidates with significant experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the processing or related industries.
3. Familiarity with electrical design practices, regulations, and standards.
4. Proven experience with motor control, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
6. Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
7. ATEX design and installation experience (preferred).
8. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
9. Full driving license (valid in Ireland, EU, or UK).
