This is an exciting opportunity to join Mercer’s rapidly-growing global Investment Solutions business, which has seen phenomenal growth over recent years and is now the world’s largest provider of OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) services with over $600bn in assets under management.As the team leader of our European sales support team, this key role will lead the overall support framework that is provided to our Investments Sales Leaders in the Europe (ex-UK) region, as well as supporting our Asia and Middle-East regions as a senior stakeholder. You will have direct day-to-day exposure to a wide range of senior leaders and investment decision-makers across our Investment, Client, Sales and Operations teams, and will work in partnership with equivalent sales-support team leaders in other regions.As part of this international team, you will be at the heart of the action: shaping our responses to large new-business opportunities across pension, not-for-profit, insurance or wealth-management client types for Europe. This is not a direct sales role but a team-based environment where you will be expected to influence our broader win rates through top-quality materials and processes, mentorship of more junior colleagues, and proactive thinking.You will enhance your knowledge and understanding of an entire range of investment topics like strategy-setting, private markets investing, ESG investing, capital markets, and more. We are passionate about both career development and work-life balance.We will count on you to:Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s investment research and client solutions, in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and prospective clients.Work closely with sales and commercial leadership on all aspects of sales and business development activities, and demonstrate ownership of key sales deliverables assigned to the team including new business proposals, pitch material and wider activities.Support, guide and coach more junior colleagues, allocate and manage work-flow, and contribute to continuous development of the team.Support and influence other business development initiatives such as roll-out of new tools, product launches, marketing initiatives, go to market strategy, market research and intelligence.
