Job Summary

This role involves completing various new business QA procedures for Personal Lines products within agreed timelines. Ongoing review of QA procedures and identification of necessary improvements are also key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete various new business QA procedures for Personal Lines products within agreed timelines
2. Ongoing review of QA procedures and identification of necessary improvements
3. Provide expertise and insight to support the completion of audit activity
4. Support Operations Manager/QA Manager in delivery of team audit activity
5. Provide underwriting support to our sales network and cross functional projects through technical support and assisting on product, quality assurance, governance, guidelines and procedural developments.
6. Participate in and support projects/initiatives/testing/pilot phases as required including engaging in team training & in designing new procedures & processes
7. Operate within your licence and adhere to sign off process for decisions outside authority levels (including updating of all relevant records)
8. Support and encourage a high-performance culture within the team and broader business through participation in training and internal Quality Assurance activities
9. Work collaboratively with other members of the team and with colleagues in other parts of the organization to provide excellence in service standards to our customers
10. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage own workload whilst responding to changing competing priorities
11. Completing all tasks in line with Department Procedures including those for renewal management, complaints and error management, SLAs, CPC timelines and agreed Personal Business Objectives
12. Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with company requirement
Requirements:
* Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP)
* Meet regulatory requirements as described in the Minimum Competency Code and Fitness and Probity Standards
* Minimum 3 years experience as an Insurance Underwriter
* Proven track record of high-performance standards
* Strong technical understanding of Insurance products and Underwriting disciplines
Competencies:
* Strong technical understanding of Personal Lines Insurance products
* Strong knowledge of the Irish Personal Lines Industry
* A pragmatic decision maker with solid underwriting assessment and reasoning skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and an active desire to develop knowledge and experience
* Quality focused to provide excellent service to all customers and meet deadlines as required
* Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated record in building working relationships within team units and with other internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent keyboard skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and an underwriting application
