A leading biotechnology company are seeking to hire an Operations Technician in Sligo on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Operations Technician will be responsible for the execution of manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure a safe and GMP compliant work environment at all times.
* Become competent and trained on all unit operations including tableting, blistering, labeling, packaging and antigen manufacture, as well as any new manufacturing processes or capabilities introduced in the future.
* Operate manufacturing equipment, including setup, operation, cleaning and maintenance where applicable.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records.
* Perform and document operations in accordance with cGMP regulations.
* Carry out environmental monitoring.
* Maintain contamination control within cleanroom environments.
* Adapt to flexible working patterns due to the company's start-up status, with a shift pattern to be introduced in the future.
Ideal Background:
* Possess an ordinary degree in a technical discipline (such as pharmaceutical sciences or biotechnology).
* Hold a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Have at least 3 years' experience in operational roles within a GMP environment.
* Experience working in cleanroom environments is highly desirable.
* Aseptic processing experience would be advantageous.
