Due to re-structure, they are now looking for an ambitious National Account Manager to lead their Foodservice Division. ** To exemplify their success, 5 years ago the turnover of the company was 20 million – now it’s close to 85 million ! **
In this role, you will be expected to build and maintain relationships with the wholesalers but also be expected to lead the 6 Area Sales Managers who are in place. This role is all about building relationships and spotting gaps/ opportunities to drive sales and distribution. My client’s culture demands a lot of people but they all row in together and you will gain invaluable commercial exposure! ( plus they are consistently looking at NPD- and product is sourced from all over the world.
Another sell to this position is Patrick - the Hiring Manager/ and Head of Sales -Patrick has a proven track record within the company ( been promoted 3 times in 10 years) and is highly thought of by the team and the business. He is both fair and personable- he will support you but give you a lot of freedom to make the role your own. In my catch up he said “ Denis I am very stretched at the moment- I am very happy with the team – they need more direction than real management so to speak- - what we lack though is someone with gravitas; knows the FS space- yes can 'steer' the team ; spend time on the road with them but equally someone who knows how Compass, Sysco, Aramark operate- and ! also get to know the end user too- with the ultimate aim of driving sales and turnover .Strong Excel is important too- as you know we have experienced phenomenal growth and full bonus is attainable too. “
For this role, you must have at least 4- 6 years’ experience in the Foodservice channel and ideally have managed a team in the past. Experience and credentials will dictate salary and package.
OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate good negotiation and presentation skills along with a proven sales record and knowledge of the Foodservice channel. He/ She should have a strong customer focus and be able to maintain a high level of productivity in all aspects of the role.
Candidates must be eligible to drive in the Island of Ireland and have a full clean drivers’ licence. Due to the locations of some key accounts/groups around ROI, extensive travel will be expected at certain times of the year.
* Maintain and grow relationships with each key account / group in ROI.
* Ensure all JBPs are developed and implemented to an excellent standard.
* Maintain quarterly contact with all key accounts / groups to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Assist in the development and implementation of strategic channel plans as needed.
* Set examples for sales teams in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational, selling skills and work habits.
* Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
* Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
* Provide support to the Head of Out of Home for other areas within the business as and when required.
