Job Summary
We are seeking empathetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, and mobility assistance to clients.
* Preparing and administering medication, as required.
* Prompting and assisting with light housework and basic shopping needs.
* Facilitating social interactions and activities, promoting independence and dignity.
* Observing, listening to, and engaging with clients to build positive relationships.
* Communicating effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
* Documenting and reporting any incidents or concerns.
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Completion of at least two QQI modules: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person (or one year's experience in a healthcare setting).
* International Police Clearance Certificate (if applicable).
* Willingness to undergo a medical examination and obtain a medical fitness certificate.
* Holding a full driver's license and owning transport (for travel between clients' homes).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness.
* Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
* Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
