Job Title: Highway Engineer
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role oversees the DBFO1 Highway Operations and Maintenance contract, asset life cycle management, major maintenance and rehabilitation projects, and minor additional works delivered within subcontract and company resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the on-going safety of all parties involved by maintaining Health & Safety standards.
* Comply with DBFO1 contracts for allocated asset classes, including inspections and defect repairs.
* Plan operations using risk reduction and cost comparison methodology.
* Maintain accurate cost capture against activities to inform future forecasts and budgets.
* Pursue accreditations, including ISO and National Highways Sector Schemes, through good Quality Management.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
* Previous experience in a related role.
* Sound knowledge of H&S requirements, Highway Asset Maintenance, and works processes.

Working Conditions:
Full-time, permanent position. Normal office hours: 37.5 hours/week, 5 days/week. Expected to work outside office hours when necessary and participate in Duty Officer on-call rota.
