Job Title: Financial Controller
Our client, a renowned hotel in Galway, invites applications for a skilled Financial Controller to join their team. This opportunity allows you to work with a prominent brand in the hospitality industry.
Your Role:
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize financial performance.
* Oversee financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control.
* Collaborate closely with the General Manager to achieve finance objectives and meet deadlines.
* Work with other departments to drive cost efficiencies and maximize profitability.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Coordinate weekly financial reports, including payroll statistics and revenue forecasts.
* Maintain compliance with statutory obligations and submit audit books, VAT returns, payroll taxes, etc., in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
* Prior experience leading a finance/accounting team is advantageous.
* Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and accounting software is essential.
* Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills are required.
