Job Description:
The Role
People Operations is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of People Services related to the employee lifecycle - attraction, recruitment, on-boarding, administration of total reward and benefits, delivery of learning and development interventions, and payroll & time administration. It is also responsible for maintaining the central database for all employee data (e.g. role profiles, payroll, personal data, etc.), for management information and for monitoring HR quality, performance and compliance. People Operations will drive process improvement for the end-to-end HR processes, to deliver a user-friendly experience.
As a member of the Rewards & Benefits team, the successful candidate will contribute across a wide range of activities within the team including playing a key role in the ongoing management of master data for HR Organizational Units, Positions, Employees, HR organizational structures and related data. The Reward and Benefits team manage all aspects of employee Terms and Conditions across the ESB Group. Our services span the life cycle of an employee in ESB.
The successful applicant will be provided with all the support and development needed to become a key member of this highly specialised team.
This role will report to Reward & Benefits Team Lead and is based in ESB Head Office, 27 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2, however, flexibility will be considered as part of ESB’s Smart Working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
* Management and Administration of ESB’s Organisation Units and Organisational Structures in ESB’s HR system of record (PHR)
* Management and Administration of all unique Employee Positions (and their links with Organisation Units, Jobs / Bands), for all new joiners and movers in line with ESB Business Unit requirements
* Management and Administration of Employee Financial Master Data that support automated accounting of Employee Payroll and Expense Costs
* Ongoing reconciliation of ESB’s approved Organisational Structure to its PHR implementation on a monthly basis
* Advising, Supporting and Implementing Business Unit restructuring requirements in PHR as required
* Assisting with the seamless onboarding experience of new employees by ensuring that the Terms & Conditions set out in contracts of employment are applied correctly
* Working closely with other members of the HR teams to ensure delivery of a seamless service to managers and clients of HR Services & Information
* Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders
Essential Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and appropriate attention to detail
* Knowledge of HR Practice, Policies and Procedures and Employment Legislation
* A flexible approach to working
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on a range of duties as assigned
* A relevant qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
* Experience in the use of SAP S4

Salary: €37,000 to €45,000 per annum
