Site Manager (Relocation to Canada)An excellent opportunity has opened for an experienced Site Manager to relocate to Canada (Ontario and British Columbia) and join the Building Division of one of the country’s leading contractors. The company is currently undertaking large-scale projects in various sectors, including High-Rise, Commercial, Healthcare, Airport, Defence, and Educational developments. This is a life-changing opportunity for a Site Manager with a background in managing medium to large building projects in Ireland or the UK.Key Responsibilities:Project & Construction Management: Oversee construction strategies, execution plans, schedules, estimating, and scope management for subcontracts and self-performed work.Team & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors, staff, and project managers regarding schedules, methods, safety protocols, quality control, and performance expectations.Financial & Contract Oversight: Manage project budgets, control expenditures, review billable charges, handle project planning and buyout strategies, and ensure adherence to contract specifications.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Implement HSE regulations, perform risk assessments, enforce accountability, and lead HSE initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.Quality Assurance & Control: Enforce quality plans, ensure compliance from subcontractors, and hold teams accountable for maintaining high-quality performance.Client & Relationship Management: Foster positive client relationships, resolve conflicts efficiently, and emphasize customer service while managing project delivery.Required Qualifications:Education & Certification: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related trade certification is preferred.Experience: At least 10 years in a field management role, with healthcare facility project experience being a strong asset.Project & Cost Management: Experience in cost/benefit analysis, cost control, scheduling, subcontractor selection, and asset management.Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction engineering, design, formwork, hoisting, access, and soil management.Leadership & Quality Focus: Excellent delegation skills, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to streamline project processes effectively.Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite, scheduling software, and project management tools.Compensation & Benefits:Annual Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 CAD (€95k to €110k) + Vehicle allowance.Relocation package: $15,000 to $25,000 CAD.Work permit and visa expenses covered by the company.Performance bonus.Comprehensive healthcare & dental coverage.Pension plan.Generous annual leave entitlement plus public holidays.If you would like more details about this exciting opportunity and the relocation process to Canada, please feel free to get in touch for a confidential conversation.
