Key Responsibilities:
HPE SAN Solutions Management
* Manage and support HPe SAN solutions.
* Analyse requirements and performance issues with the SAN arrays in collaboration with the department's technical and functional staff.
* Perform firmware upgrades as required to maintain optimal system performance.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAN-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
* Manage dedicated SAN Fiber Channel network and inter-site fibre links to guarantee seamless data transfer.
* Plan and support IT projects, prioritizing effective resource allocation.
* Maintain the ongoing stability and overall health of the SAN Arrays environment, including physical hardware.
* Evaluate and apply necessary security patches, hotfixes, service packs, and hardware updates to prevent potential threats.
* Administer servers on various operating systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022, as well as Linux/Unix.
* Analyse incidents and resolve them efficiently, minimizing downtime.
* Develop custom reports as required to provide actionable insights.
* Conduct resource and capacity planning to ensure optimal system utilization.
* Document critical tasks to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve operational efficiency within an ITIL environment.
Essential Experience:
* Data Center Infrastructure Support: Manage HPe storage and Fiber Channel networks, perform upgrades, and implement patch management strategies.
* HPe Storage Device Expertise: Work with HPe storage devices, provision LUNs and volumes, and leverage PowerShell and CLI for efficient management.
* SAN Fiber Channel Network Management: Provision virtual machines, automate processes, and manage inter-site fibre links to ensure high-performance data transfer.
* Capacity and Performance Management: Monitor and optimise storage capacity and performance to prevent bottlenecks.
* Troubleshooting: Analyse and resolve complex issues related to storage, servers, and networks.
* Windows Server Administration: Administer current Windows OS versions (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis.
* Linux Server Administration: Administer one or more enterprise Linux platforms (Redhat, Ubuntu), troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis.
