Description
A payroll specialist is sought to join a Galway-based organisation's growing finance team. Key responsibilities include arranging reports, administering benefit plans, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have either payroll experience with 150-200+ employees or an IPASS qualification with active payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Arrange weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
2. Work with other members of the team to meet deadlines
3. Administer benefit plans
4. Be knowledgeable about and understand new legislation impacting payroll
5. Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner
6. Review payroll policies and amend procedures when required
7. Oversee the preparation of payroll related documents
8. Organise current employee data systems
9. Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations
10. Maintain accurate account balances
11. Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and support internal and external audits related as such
12. Resolve issues relating to payroll/payroll queries
Requirements:
1. 150-200+ employees or an IPASS qualification with active payroll experience
