The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Overview of responsibilities:
1. Liaise with Job Owners / Directors and clients regarding Projects / Jobs.
2. Ensure receipt and setting up of all information relevant to Documentation Packs.
3. Ensure all documents are scanned and aligned correctly.
4. Prepare Documentation Packs in soft or hard copy for clients.
5. Liaise with suppliers regarding supporting documents (e.g., certificates, testing results).
6. Liaise with clients regarding Documentation Pack requirements.
7. Upload documents to project portals (e.g., Fusion Live).
8. Schedule external calibration and maintenance of equipment.
9. Run and present reports for quality where applicable to support daily operations and performance objectives.
10. Comply with third-party regulatory body visits and standards.
11. Liaise daily with Job Owners / Fabricators on schedule, parts requirements, and any issues that may arise.
12. Monitor and record ongoing jobs for Documentation Packs.
13. Liaise with Documentation Control.
14. Maintain records for retention periods.
15. Maintain and record all plant and equipment.
16. Ensure all staff health & safety records are maintained and updated.
17. Ensure all client health & safety portals are maintained and updated (e.g., EHA).
18. Ensure the complete implementation and compliance of ISO9001:2015 & EN 1090 in all departments.
19. Organize staff training in line with competency requirements.
20. Assist in induction and staff human resource matters.
21. Maintain and analyze key performance indicators.
22. Develop and identify training needs of staff through an annual training plan.
23. Review and analyze internal & external issues through PESTEL/SWOT.
24. Review and analyze risks & opportunities.
25. Corrective action reporting.
26. Main point of contact for current clients.
27. Arrange NDT requirements for projects based on specifications of the product.
28. Review and update current procedures.
29. Implement change controls where applicable.
30. Complete and undertake Pre-FAT, FAT and where applicable SATs.
