Job Description
Cpl Healthcare partners with a non-profit organisation in Dublin, Ireland to provide services for people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness.
The purpose of this role is to work within the Under 18 Residential Services team, providing support and assistance to young people aged 15-18 in a short-term residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the framework of the organisation's overall objective and values.
* Collaborate with the team to implement project policies and procedures.
* Act as a key worker for individual young people and partner with external agencies to support their needs.
* Develop individualised programmes to break the cycle of homelessness and prepare clients for independent living.
* Support young people with trauma and challenging behaviour.
* Advocate for young people's rights, including housing, social welfare, education, and legal rights.
* Work with statutory care plans and develop individual placement plans.
* Refer young people to external agencies for personal and educational support.
* Record and maintain client records according to statutory requirements.
* Attend team meetings and contribute to the implementation of settlement policies and strategies.
Requirements
* Experience working in children's residential centres or with complex needs.
* A third-level qualification in Social Care or a related field.
* A full clean driver's license.
* Knowledge of childhood adversity and HIQA National Standards.
* Ability to manage crisis situations and support teenagers with challenging behaviour.
* High standard of written communication and teamwork skills.
