We are collaborating with a leading Electric Vehicle (EV) company in Northern Ireland and Ireland to recruit a Technical Manager.

Job Details:
* Type: Permanent
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
* Location: Belfast (with hybrid working option)

Key Responsibilities:
1. To lead the Technical team in guiding the Company and supporting clients in their transition from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
2. Effectively manage the Technical team by developing, coordinating, and implementing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
3. Provide technical expertise on installing EV charge points.
4. Create scope, tender, and pricing documents for clients and subcontractors.
5. Review bills of materials on projects for accuracy and value engineering.
6. Collaborate with the sales/technical support team to assist customers through the technical survey and purchasing journey of an EV charge point.
7. Work closely with equipment suppliers, contractors, and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) as the technical expert, ensuring feasibility in all activities.
8. Oversee the DNO application process and provide status updates.
9. Liaise with operations teams to ensure compliance with legislation and site-specific standards, RAMS, policies, and environmental plans.
10. Serve as the link between the technical and field operations teams, managing technical survey volumes, timeframes, Service Level Agreements, and customer service up to handover to the field operations team.
11. Support strategic and commercial evaluation of various products and projects.
12. Evaluate risks, challenges, and opportunities for projects requiring electrical installations, in conjunction with Operations and Support.
13. Own and develop technical training processes for individuals across the group, including customer service and technical support.
Ideal Candidate:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering, or NVQ Level 3-7 with relevant experience.
* Electrical background preferred.
* Previous people management experience.
* Proven project management skills with an ability to deliver work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Delivering projects in accordance with processes, procedures, and statutory obligations.
