Job Description
Morgan McKinley is partnering with a growing Irish business to find an experienced finance professional as Group Financial Controller.
The Group Financial Controller will report to the CFO and oversee the full finance function. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of accounting or management experience, excellent people skills, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with Group Finance Policies for consolidation and management accounts.
* Manage financial control of all cost centres and companies, including month-end closing activities and general ledger maintenance.
* Submit and reconcile VAT, VIES, PAYE, PRSI & Pension requirements.
* Meet statutory requirements for all companies.
* Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reporting.
* Develop systems and processes to meet changing needs.
* Manage cash and fx management for the Group.
* Renew insurance for the Group.
* Serve as a key link between Group finance and external auditors.
* Prepare annual budget, forecasting, and strategy planning.
* Undertake ad-hoc finance projects.
* Mentor and develop a finance team of 5-6 people.
Key Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
* Experience in managing a team and providing leadership.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
* Results-oriented mindset.
