As part of our ongoing growth, we are now looking to expand our team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Site Engineer for multiple projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferable
2. Proven experience at the Site Engineer Level essential
3. Knowledge of construction procedures and methods
4. Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Procedures
5. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
6. Understanding of modern setting out instruments and competency to use same
7. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and regulations
8. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute complex construction projects
9. Proficiency in project management software and setting out equipment
10. Setting out experience
11. Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to build and manage diverse project teams
12. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:
The Engineer will act as the primary point of communication with the Customers on multiple projects.
The Engineer/Project Manager is charged with the task of:
* Setting out
* Managing projects
* Communicating information to Tusker drawing office
* Communicating site surveys to complement steel workshop
* Ensuring that the site team carries out the works in accordance with the specification and programme
* Supporting management with the day-to-day running of the project
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
* Reviewing detailed design, critiquing, and communicating with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction
* Coordinating the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors
* Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure, etc.
* Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved
* Ordering and controlling materials on site
* Maintaining site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors
* Good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work, and contractual awareness
* Checking plans, drawings, and supervision of setting out coordination
* Resolving unexpected technical difficulties and dealing with any problems which arise
* Attending regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress
* Quality management and BCAR coordination
* Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to
* Supervising direct staff and sub-contractors
* Handling technical queries when necessary and interfacing with the client, consultant, and architect in regards to RFI’s
* Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards
* Monitoring and addressing any quality issues or deviations from project specifications promptly
* Leading, motivating, and managing project teams, including subcontractors and construction personnel
* Fostering a collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork
* Conducting and attending regular meetings to ensure effective coordination, address concerns, and provide project updates
* Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing progress reports
