NPD Manager
Job Purpose: The NPD Manager will oversee the coordination and activities of the New Product Development department. They will manage all aspects of bringing new products from concept approval to market launch, supporting the Head of NPD in prioritizing projects and implementing NPD strategies.

Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Developing NPD strategies and concepts to enhance sales and market share in export markets.
Conducting market research and presenting findings to evolve the product offering based on consumer trends.
Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance current products and deliver value for the business. Understanding and incorporating EU pet food and export market legislation requirements into product development.
Overseeing the New Product Implementation process to ensure successful product launches.
Building and maintaining a cohesive NPD team that collaborates effectively with all departments and adapts to challenges.
Managing and coordinating the NPD team to plan trials and bring new products from concept to completion through the stage-gated New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Supporting the NPD team and establishing targets aligned with the critical path for trials and testing of new products/raw materials.
Liaising with department heads to ensure smooth operation of NPD/NPI processes.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food industry or a related field.
B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutritional Science, or a related discipline.
Direct experience in meat processing would be advantageous.
Knowledge of food/meat processing technology.
Commercial acumen and awareness.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, self-organize, and maintain discipline.
Energetic, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to all tasks.
Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant systems.
