Role Title:
Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Manager 2
Role Purpose:
Act as an accountable role model through the provision of professional leadership and demonstration of best practice in the area of Infection Prevention and Control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as a key stakeholder and member of the Infection Prevention and Control team providing expert advice and support to all members of both clinical and non-clinical teams.
* Work with the Infection Prevention and Control team to ensure the annual program for Health & Wellbeing is achieved.
* Provide and maintain a comprehensive, efficient, and effective Infection Prevention and Control service by assessing, identifying, developing, implementing, and evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role.
Requirements:
* Registered or eligible for registration on the General Nurse Division
* 5 years post-registration experience
* Desirable: 1 year of experience working in the specialty of Infection Prevention & Control
* Recognised post-registration nursing course - Higher Diploma or Post Grad course in Infection Control or pursuit of same
Skills and Abilities:
* Act as a specialist resource in providing Infection Prevention and Control knowledge and expertise to nursing and all healthcare personnel
* Ensure that all Infection Prevention and Control guidelines and procedures are research/evidence based and updated as required
* Advise and participate in the commissioning, tendering, and purchasing of patient care and medical equipment related to Infection Prevention and Control
