As the Global Safety & Support Policy Lead, you are part of team leadership, driving the development of scalable policy solutions to ensure user and creator best in class support and safety experiences and operational excellence in service delivery, while applying your deep product expertise to guide policy decisions. You are passionate about user and creator support, wake up excited to make an impact in millions of people's lives, and switch readily from thinking strategically about policy development and iteration to managing tactical enforcement decisions. Your background and professional expertise are grounded in areas related to internet policy, customer support, user safety or platform management, and you have demonstrated this through a track record of achievements in the policy space. You also have strong experience bringing out the best in a team and fostering a collaborative working style in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities- Build and lead a high-performing policy team, manage cross-team relations and optimize policy iteration & implementation procedures to deliver best-in-class safety and support services;- Articulate, interpret and implement global product policies externally and internally for various lines of business support channels, covering user and creator TikTok and emerging products support and safety experiences - Guide the improvement of our platform policies and processes around how they are enforced;- Work with internal counterparts to have global coordination to identify, assess and resolve user and creator-related support issues in our services;- Manage cross-team relationships, in particular with senior TT Product and TnS stakeholders - collaborate with Product, Operations, Legal, and Public Relations teams to build consensus on and improve support and safety policies.
Minimum Qualifications- Extensive experience in leading and managing small to medium-sized teams, fostering an inclusive and culturally diverse environment.- Significant experience in policy, policy enforcement, or public policy, specifically in technology/social media/content space. - You have excellent communication, influencing, and project management skills, with the ability to drive the simultaneous delivery of complex projects in collaboration with stakeholder teams; Preferred Qualifications- Tech experience would be a big plus.
