Purpose and Scope of the Role:The purpose of this post is to provide strong strategic, professional, and managerial leadership for all aspects of clinical and health service operations for CHI across its multiple service locations.The DCEO is an executive role with full accountability for the effective and efficient delivery of operational, clinical, health, and social care, and support services (clinical support and general support) across Children’s Health Ireland.The DCEO will focus on planning, developing, and implementing CHI clinical and operations strategy, monitoring and managing operational performance, and overseeing the delivery of effective support services across CHI.Accountable Executive for the Following Areas:Clinical Directorates (which may be subject to change)Health and Social Care Professionals.HSCP, and Clinical & Operations Support Services.Operations Monitoring & Improvement.Operations Strategy & Service Delivery Planning.Performance delivery & reporting.Business continuity and emergency planning.Site management and security.National and local insight and intelligence.Facilities, Estates and Sustainability.GP's, Community Benefits and Advocacy GroupsEssential Criteria:A minimum level 8 NFQ (or international equivalent) qualification in Business, Health Services Management/Leadership or other related discipline.Minimum of 10 years’ post graduate experience in a relevant role.Minimum of 7 years’ experience in senior or executive management in health or social care organisations or in other public or private sector customer-facing organisations; the role holder will be attuned to the demands of regulation and of public scrutiny and will bring a demonstrable track record of high level achievement against challenging performance targets.Experienced health service executive leader with a track record of successful acute operations at a significant scale hospital, as well as across multi-site operations, network or health service experience at a senior level.How to Apply & Informal Enquiries:Please note that you must submit a cover letter with your CV; this forms part of your application and CV’s will not be accepted without a detailed cover letter.The closing date for submissions of CV’s and letter of application is Monday, 10th March by 10am.Applications must be completed through the advertised post on CHI.jobs by clicking ‘Apply for Job’.
