The RoleReporting to the Data Architect, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that data and operational excellence prevails across all aspects of the business, while working on improving management insights (MI) and contributing to the development of the company’s data architecture.
The position is based at the company’s head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin with 4 days (Mon to Thu) in the office and Friday remote.
Key Data Responsibilities
Create clear and concise reports and visualizations that summarize findings and communicate business insights.
Collaborate with the tech team to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and support in developing policies for data governance.
Maintain an up-to-date backlog of tasks related to the development of the reporting infrastructure and ensure correct prioritization together with the Product Owner.
Participate in acceptance tests of new components of the reporting infrastructure.
Perform data discovery and reverse engineer reports in legacy reporting infrastructure.
Analyze external data sets and suggest new data structures to be developed and included in the existing reporting infrastructure.
Develop solutions for effective data analysis and reporting to support business operations.
Build and maintain effective Management Information (MI) dashboards, ensuring data is available and presented in an actionable format.
Support the development of automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and data availability across the business.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a third-level business or technical degree and 2 to 5 years of experience working in a data analytics role.
Strong SQL skills with a proven track record of using advanced SQL queries to manipulate and extract data.
Experience in querying unstructured data (e.g., nested and repeated fields, JSON).
Experience in creating reports and dashboards using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight is highly desirable.
Python programming abilities are an advantage.
Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and ensure that queries are resolved in a timely manner.
Highly numeric with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, able to take the initiative, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
