Job Responsibilities
1. To install, modify, and maintain the full range of moulding & Plant equipment.
2. To continuously improve moulding & Plant operations by:
o Fine-tuning moulding & Plant equipment to increase output.
o Reducing downtime and waste.
3. To maintain moulding / Plant lines at optimal performance.
4. To work to the highest engineering standards.
5. To deal with all breakdowns within the Plant.
6. To carry out Mould overhauls as required and complete In-press repairs.
7. To assist in the complete validation of new and existing equipment, including acceptance trials and debugging.
8. To operate manual equipment (Mills / Lathe / Grinders) to produce spare parts and support operations.
9. To deal/liaise with vendors, suppliers, and local engineering shops.
10. To analyze customer complaints and internal quality issues and assist in drawing up improvement programs for equipment to eliminate defects.
11. To assist with the training of other Technicians, new recruits, and apprentices as required.
12. To participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives and work in teams as required.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with:
* A minimum of 5 years industrial experience, preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical/Automotive industry.
* Previous experience of injection Moulding/maintenance/Toolmaking is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Relevant PC skills, including MS and or CAD / Solidworks.
