We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Technicians in areas like Surface Mount Technology, E Beam, Packing, and Puck. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will provide technical support for equipment used in manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining or modifying production equipment with your technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment.
You will utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output during shifts to ensure all cells are running according to cycle time and meeting specific OEE targets. Perform routine maintenance checks to maintain the operational efficiency of machines and production equipment to desired standards. Run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and create comprehensive reports for resolution methods. Familiarity with asset maintenance software (Maximo preferred).
Main Responsibilities
* Conducting scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, undertaking repairs, and engaging contractors as needed.
* Performing complex skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
* Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
* Understanding day-to-day operations for conveyors, depositors, p&p machines, and weighing machines.
* Assisting in presenting technical feedback on engineering performance regarding yield output.
* Leading on maintenance and process issues and working independently or as a team member.
* Monitoring production processes, creating reports for resolution methods.
* Certifying and training manufacturing associates in production processes.
* Evaluating operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
* Identifying and implementing corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
* Installing and validating equipment and processes to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum Level 6 in a technical related discipline.
* Electrical and mechanical skills are desirable.
* Excellent knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry is crucial for ensuring safety and security of production staff.
* Experience within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
* Technical and fault-finding skills.
* Surface mount technology experience is advantageous.
