Our global Engineering and technical business process management consultancy organisation is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer (Automation & Packaging) in Dublin.
The successful candidate will lead or act as a subject matter expert process mechanical engineer, staying updated on process mechanical engineering trends and emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design, engineering, implementation, and verification of industry-compliant automated assembly and packaging solutions for integration and validation for production readiness.
* Project Leadership: Establish project technical scope, priorities, and execution sequences; align the technical scope with team member skill sets.
* Design: Analyze stakeholder needs and identify, negotiate, prioritize, and quantify Solution Architecture and Functional elements.
* Engineering: Identify, negotiate, prioritize, and quantify mechanical and electrical packages and components.
* Reviews: Conduct and document engineering reviews with the team, suppliers, and acquirers.
* Implementation: Engage and monitor procurement, fabrication, assembly, and solution integration activities and processes.
* Verification: Participate in the execution and review of verification activities and define, document, and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE).
* Risk Management: Conduct, document, review, and update Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Control Plans.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in Injection Moulding.
* 2-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant role.
* Knowledge of process mechanical engineering principles and practices.
* Proficient knowledge of automated assembly, mechanical process sequential operations design, power distribution, mechanical component fabrication, machining, and tolerance verification.
* Critical thinking / analytical reasoning skills.
* Project management skills.
* Ability to perform process engineering skills independently.
This role involves working from home with travel expected to European client facilities as required, up to 25% international travel.
