Job Description
Our client based approximately 30 minutes from Cork City are seeking to hire a Production & Transport Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
An exciting opportunity to join a well regarding Irish agri company on a permanent basis as a Production & Transport Specialist. As Production & Transport Specialist you will be the key link between production & logistics with the main responsibiliy to ensure maximum production and transport efficiency.
In this position their will be a key focus on relationship building within in the company as you will be a key point of contact between production, logistics & maintenance. KPI's will be an essential part of this role and will be customer & transport focused. Experience with priority deliveries would be a distinct advantage.
This is a permanent role and will be fully on site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the efficient scheduling of all customer orders through the transport scheduler system.
2. Monitor and plan routes to achieve the most efficient mileage rate.
3. Liaise with Milling Production Manager to pre plan the manufacture of all customer special orders.
4. Monitor loading to ensure accuracy of weights and haulier compliance with weight regulations.
5. Maintain contact with customers and ASM's to reduce emergency deliveries and to optimise all routes.
6. Liaise with logistics manager in relation to the budget and costings for bulk haulage.
7. Ensure all contractor drivers observe site safety rules and comply with PPE directives in designated areas
8. Monitor driver documentation monthly to ensure conformance with TASCC/UFAS and HACCP quality standards.
9. Liaise with Raw Materials Supply Chain analyst for allocation of mill ingredients for bulk trucks.
10. Respond to customer queries - redirecting where necessary.
Key Requirements:
11. Excellent understanding of systems and interdependencies
12. Be proficient in MS Office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
13. Thorough knowledge of core products and raw materials
14. Strong business acumen and commercially aware with a strategic focus
15. Proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to plan and prioritise tasks and focus on and meet task deadlines.
16. Analytical and Problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a timely manner.
17. Good communication and influencing skills
