About the Role:
You will be a key member of the Mechanical & Test team, supporting activities such as design verification, validation, reliability testing, and root cause analysis. Your role will ensure the reliability of medical devices by maintaining equipment and conducting critical testing and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Laboratory and Project Support: Assist with fixture development, testing, and documentation of test results. Contribute to ongoing project activities.
* Analytical Testing: Perform testing on medical devices to generate data that supports product design improvement and design verification.
* Documentation & Reporting: Aid in creating test methods, protocols, and reports to ensure thorough and accurate documentation.
* Data Management: Maintain precise records of test results, prepare reports, and communicate technical challenges and solutions.
* Laboratory Equipment: Help install, validate, and maintain R&D laboratory equipment to ensure it's in optimal working condition.
* Collaboration: Participate in technical review meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive progress on projects.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have a technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a similar field (apprenticeship or third-level education). Relevant hands-on experience in an R&D environment is highly advantageous. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including analytical balances, pressure sensors, and Instron UTM, is also beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Technical Qualification: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field.
* Industry Experience: Experience in an R&D environment is preferred.
* Laboratory Skills: Experience with laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, vernier calipers, pressure sensors, and Instron UTM.
* Software Proficiency: Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Independence & Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
