A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects across the Leinster region. This role involves ensuring that infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, plan, and oversee civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and commercial/residential developments.
2. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure projects meet safety and environmental regulations.
3. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
4. Monitor and inspect project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Coordinate with clients, contractors, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Provide technical guidance and solutions for challenges that arise during the construction process.
7. Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to throughout project lifecycles.
8. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
9. Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.
10. Stay up to date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering.
Key Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects.
3. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry regulations.
4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
8. Full, clean driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Leinster region.
