Concrete Products and Aggregates - Ballinascorney, Co. Dublin
Our Concrete Products and Aggregates business is a high performance and profitable business unit supporting our Irish customers. At Kilsaran, we are trusted by businesses and contractors alike to produce quality construction materials that are fundamental in the creation of our national infrastructure, including large commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural construction, office blocks and major road networks.
Based at our quarry in Ballinascorney, Co. Dublin, the successful individual will work as part of the Maintenance Team facilitating our production sites in the greater Dublin area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair and installation of plant components and structural metal works in a safety-driven, efficient manner. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Fabricating and assembling structural metal components for plant and machinery.
2. Carrying out welding (MIG/TIG/ARC) and metal cutting operations.
3. Performing repairs and modifications to existing plant structures and mechanical systems.
4. Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings and blueprints.
5. Ensuring quality finishes and dimensional accuracy in fabrication tasks.
6. Supporting mechanical maintenance activities on Dublin sites as required.
7. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
8. Demonstrating a lead by example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, being fully compliant with Company Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems and rules, reporting all hazards and incidents and ensuring that you work safely at all times.
Skills Required:
1. Trade certification or comparable fabrication experience.
2. Proficient in MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques.
3. Experience in using fabrication tools such as shears, presses, grinders and plasma cutters.
4. An ability to read and make basic fabrication drawings.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
