Our Engineeringteam are looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Sr. Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction of Process Engineering and establishing a best in class team as a part of Manufacturing Operations with the primary goal of meeting manufacturing goals within the Quality System.
Where you come in:
1. You will manage and supervise resources in process development, product transfer, and process improvement to enhance product quality, decrease cost, and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
2. You will work together with the Manufacturing Managers to ensure the manufacturing processes meet production targets against lowest cost, according to planning and quality requirements.
3. You will resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
4. You will check technical accuracy of work, ensure Design of Experiments (DOE) are appropriate, and review statistical methods used to estimate future manufacturing requirements, production and field performance data.
5. You will provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
6. You will give input into developing the budget.
7. You will be involved in the cross-functional team discussions and meetings.
8. You will build, guide, and enhance the engineering team to meet future needs. You willwork to engage employees to gain work efficiencies and perform performance reviews.
9. You will champion and leads change initiatives; identifies the best approach for implementing process, implementing root cause analyses and problem solving systems such as DMAIC, A3, Lean Six Sigma across the sustaining engineering team, Product Focus Team (PFT) and beyond.
10. You will oversee and review design specifications, drawings, and other project documents such as URS, FNS, SDS, etc.
11. You will develop and execute test plans, and controls related validation protocols. You will review the report write up to ensure equipment/processes meet part/assembly specifications and regulatory requirements.
12. You will support the hiring, training, and mentoring of the engineering team.
13. You will assumeand perform other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
You have basic knowledge related to product, process, and equipment used in a high volume manufacturing environment. You have a demonstrated ability to work in Team environment across multiple functional groups. You are able to effectivelymanage multiple concurrent projects and conflicting priorities. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineeringor a related field with 8-12 years of industry experience 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience. Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma experience is required. You have excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills.
